It’s the start of a bad movie

Sitting in the spa, letting the fish eat your dead skin when the mutated fish from upstream near the chemical plant come and eat you for real.

That said, I’d give it a shot.

Let the fish eat you. New Asian spas where fish eat the dead skin cells off your body.

I wouldn’t try

This dude waterboarded himself to see if it was torture or not… guess which side of the fence he landed on.

Waterboard testing.

Last night’s dinner

Well part of it, also had some Korean-style sashimi too.

San Nachji – live octopus.

Color o’ the year

Posted by seoulfully on December 20th, 2007

Pantone selects blue iris as it’s color of the year.  Says Patone:

“Blue Iris brings together the dependable aspects of blue, underscored by a strong, soul-searching purple cast. Emotionally, it is anchoring and meditative with a touch of magic.”

I, like 95% of all men, claim blue as my favorite color.  It is definitely purply.  In fact so much so that I might tend to call it more purple than blue.

De-evolution

Posted by seoulfully on December 19th, 2007

I’m fairly certain we are devolving (de-evolving?  See it’s already happening to me!) as a society.  That thing a few weeks/months back I posted about the human race splitting has to be true.  As I’m pretty sure I mentioned in that post, the movie Idiocracy (a failed attempt on a good idea) seems prescient.

Anyways, the latest clue that we are just setting up our own doom, I give you the Double Deep Meat Lover’s pizza from Pizza Hut.  A single slice will log you 580 calories!  But hey, maybe someone can just eat three slices a day and lose some weight (though not as much as you might thing, and definitely they won’t be healthy) since they’d only be consuming 1740 calories a day.  Of course, 90% of Americans (I just made that stat up) would probably put down 3 slices a sitting so…

I hope it works out

Locked in might be solved.

This has to be hell on earth.  Totally feel everything, but cannot communicate it or do anything about it.  Every itch, pain, spasm.  I hope they can use the tech to make this guy better.

I’m hopeful

I’m so incredibly happy that NBC is bringing back American Gladiators.  There’s a better than good chance it sucks with over the top characters.  But at the very least they are keeping many of the classic events, which leaves me some hope that it won’t be too bad.

Movie review

Posted by seoulfully on December 13th, 2007

So I finally watched Helvetica last week.  I wanted to see it since it was announced.  I had tickets when it was local, but I couldn’t make the show.  So watched the DVD.  Yes it is a movie about a font.  It’s mostly in praise of, but does have some of the detractors.  It’s a good movie.  And if you are into typography, whether or not you like Helvetica, or design, you should probably watch this movie.

90% black, but still

90% of my coffee consumption is straight black.  Every now and then I’ll get a coffee beverage.  But I still want this:

Color coded coffee (and tea) mugs.
