Windows Vista security flaw discovered – Security – MSNBC.com

The flaw affects older Windows systems, too, and Hypponen said vulnerabilities like these are quite common and can be fixed with a software patch

haha, that was quick. This doesn’t sound like a big deal. I just love that MS’s answer is basically “Oh, we’ll patch it… don’t sweat it…” hahaha

I think this is short sighted

GigaGamez » Archive » PS3s Being Traded For Wiis

So trading for Wii, eh?  I can’t deny the allure of the Wii, I want one (as much as I fear the novelty will wear off after a week or two).  But to trade the PS3 for a Wii?  I don’t know.  Maybe I’m a Sony whore (I’m not).  Maybe I’m just really into movies (I am) and my tv is a 1080p set so I don’t have to worry about crippled firmware (it is).  Maybe people want the “fun” console in time for Christmas.  But I’d rather the PS3 and bluray movie playback, mmmm…..

When did it become irrelevant?

Fan Asks Hard Questions About Rap Music – New York Times

Another high school student at the Chicago event, Vasawa Robinson, 19, said rap showed “real life” and that “if you try to show a different picture, the kids won’t want to listen.” The more political, socially conscious rap, Vasawa said, was for an older generation.

This is crazy!  Political, socially conscious anything/everything should be relevant and important to all generations.  I don’t understand how a generation can just forgo important messages given to them in a medium they prefer in lieu of misogynistic hateful messages.
