This isn’t on the list since it’s homemade, but this would have to be tops on the list right?
But it all tastes so good. Yes makes you nauseated after you eat it, but still….

Lil’ Romeo’s a Trojan – ESPN.com
“This is the most important thing I’ve had to do and hopefully it sends a message to kids across the country that education is more important than money,” Miller said at the news conference. “Getting a college scholarship is more important than winning an American Music Award, and I plan to be the best student-athlete I can be at USC.”
Okay, he’s the son of a did well for himself rapper/producer. Via his cribs he had a MBZ hatchbatch before he could even drive. He’s listed by some as a top 15 PG in the high school ranks. This post is about none of that. Yes education is more important than money. It’s great for him that he’s good enough to get a scholarship with a D-1 school. But you mean to tell me that he can’t afford to just pay out of pocket and walk on to the team? Could some other deserving you man better use that scholarship? Not to say Lil’ Romeo doesn’t deserve it, but he can afford USC (well I’m assuming so, havent’ heard to much out of Master P recently) without scholarship. Others can’t. Not like if he walked on, he’d be a real walk-on.
I’ve posted about TED Talks before. And I’ll probably post about it again. But entertaining, enlightening, education (oooh like the alliteration do you? Though is it actually alliteration? I’ve read definitions of alliteration that only deal with consonance and not assonance). Usually all at the same time.
I am listening to smodcast and they are talking about this Wired article and I had to find and link to it: Americans are so fat they are bottoming out the boats at “It’s a Small World” ride at Disney.
Fun little numbers matching game: Chain Factor.
The Four Word Film Review site.
This is old. I’ve never posted a review. But it’s cool nonetheless.
Female “android” groped. via Engadget.
This guy made an android. A female android. Recorded a video of him groping it and it taking offense and trying to slap him apparently. All well and good, but you know he has a switch to make the android a lovebot or something disgusting.
High-Def Digest’s review of Oldboy
It’s a great flick. It’s challenging on any number of levels. It’s visually impactful. I’m not bothering to post my issues with the review at HDD’s site because they are all video/audiophiles and my issues aren’t with that.
In his review, Kenneth S. Brown writes:
Even “ordinary” scenes contain bizarre and often disturbing imagery, including swarming ants, gouged eyes, stark nudity, a nightmarish hotel room, incest, and the actual consumption of a living octopus.
I agree with almost EVERYTHING in that statement, but one part I don’t. Consumption of live octopus isn’t anything strange in Korea. Hell I’ve had it here in the States. Okay, hey, I get it. This is the United States. What is normal to a lot of other places is weird and strange, and I guess disturbing, here. And the scene in question was played for visual impact. But visually impactful doesn’t mean disturbing. And even in the context of the movie, I’d not classify that particular scene as disturbing. I do admit that how the scene plays out in the movie isn’t the traditional method of eating live octopus. So maybe that’s the disturbing part.
It’s so tasty though!
from the movie, a behind the scenes:
okay, so this pic was on CNN.com’s main page this afternoon. It’s a scene from after a bombing in Iraq. I’m an asshole because more than people making their way out of wreckage, I think it looks like a wanna be hip hop concert. the guy is beboxing, the lady is air turntabling!
