Only good to open it up

TrailRunner 1.3 with Garmin and Nike Support – The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)

Nice for software to be open to multiple “platforms.”  Though given the weather (and the fact I don’t want to buy cold weather gear for it) all my running is done on a treadmill (which makes for a pretty boring map).  Lately I’ve switched from running for distance at a certain pace, I’ve lowered my pace a bit and have tried to run for longer times.  Two reasons: (1) I’m in the midst of a cutting phase and (2) I’m trying to increase endurance.  (I’ll probably incorporate weekend interval/HIIT training to change it up a bit).

Denim Therapy

Denim Therapy

I don’t know if it’d be worth it for regular jeans, but I’d def send in premium denim. Hmm, though I might send in my APCs if they needed them. I love these jeans (maybe because they were my first raw pair). APCs and Nudies are what I have. And I NEVER get to wear jeans (basically it’s weekends only and not even all weekends because let’s face it, if I’m lounging at home playing PS3 or watching a movie, I’m not doing it in jeans, even jeans i need to break-in), but I’m looking at getting another pair or two (thinking Samurais or Imperials, maybe SugarCanes, less likely Pure Blues…. though AYN had some other recommendations I’ll look at as well).

Whitlock dropping the hammer again

AOL’s Jason Whitlock- Time to Stop Looking Past Black KKK – AOL Sports

Whitlock’s final wrap/view of NBA All-Star Weekend.  A good read.

A lot of people thought they took up Ralph Wiley’s post when he passed (I don’t profess to be an expert on Wiley in the slightest), all fail (because who could fill those shoes?). But Whitlock really comes close. It’s a no-holds-barred look at the social impact of sports. I don’t read him regularly, even though EVERY time I do I think I should.

edit (added 2.23.07): I also agree with Dan Shanoff about the article:

Whitlock takes on the “Black KKK”: If only he didn’t compare himself to Rosa Parks for doing it, I might appreciate this column as much as I should.
